FOXTEL's iQ – A Smart Tool for the Classroom

A simple and convenient way to build a library of educational programming is to use the FOXTEL iQ.

Sound like a smart device? Well it is! FOXTEL iQ is a Personal Video Recorder that enables you to record and store up to 100 hours of programming for playback at the press of a button.

How to use iQ in the classroom:

  1. Browse the program highlights to identify upcoming programs relevant to your curriculum area.
  2. Through the Electronic Programming Guide (EPG) select the program you wish to record and press the red "R" button.
  3. When you want to playback a recording, select 'Planner' on your remote, find the program and press 'Play' to view.
  4. You can use your remote to fast forward ads, rewind or pause the program at any time in the classroom.
  5. When you have finished watching a program, don't worry about rewinding it for the next class! Select 'Back on the remote and you will have the option to start the program again from the beginning.
  6. Use the green button on your remote to 'Series Link' any program so that your iQ automatically records every episode of a television series without you needing to remember each week.

FOXTEL's iQ even allows you to record two programs simultaneously so you won’t need to worry about programming clashes!

Remote Record with iQ
Remote Record allows you to record programs while you are sitting in front of your computer.

FOXTEL's online TV Guide provides a complete listing of FOXTEL programming 14 days in advance. You can select which program you want to record from this guide. Notification is then sent to your FOXTEL iQ and your choice of program is automatically recorded. Building a library of content has never been easier!
